Finding a pool is easy enough. Finding a session where you know who will be in the water, whether you can get in and what you'll pay takes more checking.

“Women-only” might describe one hour of a mixed-use pool. Elsewhere, the reserved session includes children. And even when the timing suits you, admission may depend on membership or arriving with a member.

NDMC publishes a 5–6 PM female-reserved hour at Mandir Marg, Sarojini Nagar and Laxmibai Nagar. Janakpuri Club lists a 4–5 PM ladies-only session. Hotel Samrat separately publishes women-and-children sessions; those are not adult-women-only slots.

Season check: the sources below were checked on 27 October 2026. They establish what the operator publishes, not which pools are open or accepting visitors on your chosen date. Confirm seasonal operation before travelling or paying, especially when looking beyond the summer.

The table isn't a quality ranking, and the reserved times don't establish that entry is available today. Use the source links to contact the relevant operator and request its current notice.

NDMC: three pools with the same published reserved hour

The NDMC swimming-pools page labels 5–6 PM as reserved for female swimmers at all three locations. Its broader morning and evening opening windows are not described as women-only.

That page doesn't establish a current admission price, a casual walk-in entitlement or a dated operating season. Ask which registration category applies to you, what documents are needed and whether the reserved session is running on the date you want.

NDMC and DDA are different operators. A membership, tariff or rule you find for a DDA sports complex should not be treated as an NDMC admission rule.

If you need a particular staff arrangement, ask about it separately. A reserved swimming hour doesn't by itself tell you who works at the pool or who can access the surrounding area.

Janakpuri Club: the guest rule matters

Janakpuri Club's 2026 pool notice lists 4–5 PM for ladies only and Tuesday as the maintenance closure. Its opening notice is dated for the season beginning 5 April 2026; that doesn't establish a winter closing date.

The published charges include GST. The daily rate for ladies who are members is ₹100. The guest/honorary-member row is ₹300 daily, with guests required to be accompanied by members. The ₹100 category is not a public walk-in offer for every woman.

Check your eligibility before making plans, then ask whether the applicable guest category can use that reserved session. The club lists coaching separately, so don't read a swimming charge as the price of a lesson. It also requires swimming costumes.

Hotel Samrat: women and children, rather than women only

Hotel Samrat is on Kautilya Marg, Chanakyapuri. Its official ITDC tariff publishes these restricted sessions:

  • 10:00 AM–12:00 PM: females and kids only.
  • 4:00–5:00 PM: females and kids only.

If you're looking for an adults-only women's session, that wording doesn't meet the same requirement. Ask about children's ages, supervision and the arrangement in the pool before deciding whether it suits you.

The tariff's daily-use rate is ₹1,200 plus tax for an adult and ₹900 plus tax for a minor. Those are published categories, not a confirmed quote or reservation for the restricted slots. Get the current total, admission conditions and available session in writing before paying.

Don't assume a hotel-resident rate applies to a non-resident day visit, or that every access category buys the same duration.

What does “women-only” cover?

Ask about the part of the facility that matters to you. A restriction on swimmers in the water may not answer questions about the changing area, poolside access, staff or spectators.

You can ask directly:

  • Does the reserved session cover the whole pool, or a designated section?
  • Are children admitted? If so, what ages and supervision rules apply?
  • Who can be on the poolside, including accompanying people?
  • Is a female instructor available if you want lessons?
  • What are the changing and shower arrangements, and what is the photography policy?
  • Which swimwear and equipment rules apply to this session?

These are questions to establish your requirements, not features we have verified at every venue. A women-only label isn't an independent assessment of privacy, supervision or water quality.

A reserved swimming hour isn't necessarily a lesson

If you're learning, say that when you enquire. Ask for a coached beginner place, the instructor's availability, the lesson duration and whether the women-only session includes instruction or only pool access.

A recreational swimmer booking a dip and a beginner booking lessons may need different arrangements. Don't buy a pool-entry package on the assumption that teaching is included, or that an instructor will be available because a lifeguard is present.

For lap training, ask whether there is space to swim lengths during the session or whether it is shared with lessons and other activities. Our Delhi NCR lap-pool guide explains how to check that before choosing a regular pool.

Check the full admission cost

The useful price is the total for your category and visit, not the lowest number on the page.

For a single visit, ask whether a one-off entry is actually sold. If you don't want a long membership, read our Delhi NCR swimming guide without membership for the different access routes. A guest visit and a public day pass aren't interchangeable.

Can you use these sessions in winter?

A webpage listing a reserved hour isn't evidence that the pool operates throughout the year. Ask for the current season dates and any maintenance notice, then confirm the actual session for your visit.

If you're considering an indoor or heated pool, establish both facts separately. Indoor doesn't automatically mean heated, and neither description establishes a women-only batch.

We haven't confirmed winter operation for every venue in this article. We also haven't established a current women-only timetable at a DDA pool from the sources checked. Use the pool directory for other leads and ask the specific operator; don't carry a session time from one complex to another.

Four checks for a women-only swim: who the session admits, how you can enter, the complete price, and whether the pool is operating on your date.

Send this before booking

Hi, I'm looking for a women-only swimming session at [pool] on [date]. Is the published [time] slot running? Does it include children, and who else can access the poolside? I'm a [beginner/lap swimmer] and [member/non-member]. Please confirm eligibility, any member-accompaniment or document requirements, the full price, lesson availability and the current season dates.

Add any requirements that would change your decision, such as a female instructor or a particular changing arrangement. Then keep the reply with your booking details rather than relying on a screenshot of an undated timetable.

Start with the location and admission route that work for you. Once those are clear, compare the actual session, teaching and facilities—not just whether the listing uses the word “ladies”.

Frequently asked questions

Which Delhi pools publish women-only swimming sessions?

NDMC lists a 5–6 PM female-reserved hour at Mandir Marg, Sarojini Nagar and Laxmibai Nagar. Janakpuri Club lists a 4–5 PM ladies-only session. These are published timings; confirm seasonal opening, eligibility and the current batch before visiting.

Can a non-member use Janakpuri Club's ladies-only hour?

The club publishes a guest category requiring member accompaniment, but that doesn't establish unrestricted access to every session. Ask whether you qualify for the reserved hour. Its ₹100 daily ladies rate applies to members, not every visitor.

Does Hotel Samrat have women-only swimming?

Its published restricted sessions are for women and children, not adult women alone: 10 AM–noon and 4–5 PM. Confirm the current arrangements and age rules with the hotel before booking.

Does a women-only session guarantee female coaches and staff?

No such guarantee is established by the sources in this guide. Ask separately about instructors, lifeguards, changing arrangements and poolside access. Reserved swimmer eligibility doesn't answer all of those questions.

Can I learn swimming during a reserved women's session?

Only if an appropriate lesson is available and booked. Ask whether the slot is coached or recreational, what the instructor offers and whether coaching costs extra. A pool-entry fee alone doesn't establish that instruction is included.

Are these pools open all year?

This article hasn't confirmed year-round operation. Published session times, seasonal opening and current availability are separate checks. Ask for the current operating dates, especially for a visit outside summer.
