Your data on Roundhouse
You can browse Roundhouse without an account. This page explains what we store if you create one, save gyms and pools, or allow analytics, and how to delete it. Questions: ab@roundhouse.in.
Accounts
An account needs only your email address. There is no password: we email you a one-time sign-in link and code. We store your email address, when the account was created and when you last signed in. Accounts run on Supabase Auth, our database provider, and sign-in emails are delivered by Resend.
To stop sign-in emails being abused, we keep a one-way hash of the requesting IP address and of the email address and delete it after about two days. It is used only to limit how many sign-in emails can be sent.
We don't share your email with gyms or pools, and we don't use it for marketing.
Saved lists
When you save a gym or pool we store which listing it is, the status you chose (Saved, Want to try or Tried), any note you write, and when you saved or changed it. Other people using Roundhouse can't see your list: the database only returns rows that belong to the signed-in account. Notes are private, so don't put anything in them you wouldn't want stored.
Saved MMA events contain the event identifier and save date. Signed-out event saves use rh_mma_saved_v1 on this device; signed-in saves sync privately to your account. Withdrawn event details are not shown. Account deletion removes your event saves.
If you save without an account, the list stays in your browser on this device (local storage) and is not sent to us. When you sign in, those saves are added to your account and removed from the device.
Training Passports
Training Passports are for adults 18 and over. We store the profile details, gym affiliation, session notes, milestones and weekly target you enter. Your passport and every new entry start private. Only you can read private notes; following someone or accepting a friend request never unlocks them.
Publishing creates a public profile with your name, profile type, city and linked gym. Your start date, experience description and fight record each have separate visibility choices. Every journey entry needs its own sharing confirmation. Your email and weekly target are never public. Unpublishing a profile or making an entry private removes it from the live profile; images already downloaded or reposted cannot be recalled. Public profiles are excluded from search indexing.
We store follows, friend requests, blocks and sporting challenges. Challenges require both people to opt in and be adults; acceptance is interest, not a booked event. Public challenges contain the participants’ public names and proposed sporting details. Reports are private to Roundhouse. Only an authorised gym reviewer can confirm an affiliation; that does not verify fight results, belts or credentials. Passport pages and notes are excluded from Google Analytics, and no connection or challenge emails are sent.
Deleting your account removes your passport, entries, connections and challenges. An existing report may remain for moderation with the reporter’s account identifier removed. To request removal of a report, email ab@roundhouse.in.
If you use “Start with a few words”, the description and refinements you submit are sent to Anthropic, our existing AI provider, to produce an editable draft. This does not send your private journal, saved list or email. We do not save these descriptions or draft responses to your passport database; the draft stays in page memory until you review and save selected details. Provider processing is subject to Anthropic’s API terms. Nothing is published automatically, and AI cannot confirm affiliations or credentials. You can use the manual form instead.
Cookies and storage
- Sign-in cookies (names start with
sb-): set only when you sign in, to keep you signed in. Signing out removes them. - Saved list on this device (
rh_saved_v1, local storage): only when you save while signed out. - Bout results: submitted event, opponent, result and source links stay private for review. Only approved bouts you choose to share appear on an approved public Passport with record sharing enabled. Withdrawing a result removes it from the source-reviewed totals. Account deletion removes submitted results.
- Roadmap plan (
rh_roadmap_v1, local storage): only when you save your Road to the Cage plan. It holds your selected stage, location, goal and checked steps on this device. Guest plans stay on the device. Signed-in members can explicitly save a private account plan, including checked steps, budget figures, private gym comparisons, trial observations, evidence links, coach focus and review date, to use across devices. These notes are not published or sent to gyms. Avoid putting medical records, identity numbers or other sensitive documents in them. Review dates do not send automatic reminders. Account plans are stored separately from Passport and fight records, and can be cleared from the roadmap. Account deletion removes them. Copying a plan link shares the stage, location and goal, without checked steps, budget figures or private notes. - Analytics choice (
rh_analytics_consent, local storage): remembers whether you allowed analytics. - Visit source (
rh_acq, session storage): how you arrived (for example a search engine or campaign link), cleared when you close the tab. - Google Analytics cookies: only if you choose “Allow analytics”. We record page views on public pages and a few actions, such as saving a listing. For saves we send the listing type, its public page name, the status and whether you were signed in. We don't send your email, account ID or notes. You can change your choice using the button below.
Deleting your account
Sign in, open your account and choose “Delete my account and data”. This deletes your account, your email address and your whole saved list and training passport (including entries, connections and challenges) straight away. If you can't sign in, email ab@roundhouse.in from the address on the account and we'll delete it.
To clear a list saved on a device without an account, remove each item on the saved page or clear this site's data in your browser.
Email from Roundhouse
An account only receives sign-in emails that you request. Creating an account does not subscribe you to anything.
MMA event emails are a separate opt-in for signed-in members with a confirmed email. We store the city or state, goal and consent time you choose, and email delivery status. Resend delivers these messages to your account email. Stop a city subscription on the MMA events page or use the unsubscribe link in its emails. We stop sending to addresses reported as bounced or complained. Deleting your account removes these subscriptions and their delivery jobs. Older expressions of interest are not enrolled automatically.
The Friday newsletter is separate and opt-in: you confirm your address before you receive it, and every issue has an unsubscribe link. Enquiries you send to a gym through Roundhouse are also separate from your account; email us to have those removed.
