Before you buy a swimming package in Bengaluru, decide what you're buying: a public swim, a lesson or access through a club. A women's batch can sit inside any of those arrangements, with very different entry rules.
Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre publishes a 3:30–4:30 PM women's public batch. Cosmopolitan Club's Infinity Pool publishes a 4–6 PM ladies-and-kids session for members/guests. Swim Scooled at Rashtrotthana advertises ladies-only batches, with the current slot to confirm.
Sources checked 27 October 2026. These are published arrangements, not confirmed places for your chosen day. Bengaluru and Bangalore refer to the same city in the sources below.
Women-only swimming options in Bengaluru
| Venue | What the operator publishes | Access question to settle |
|---|---|---|
| Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre | Women's public batch 3:30–4:30 PM; Wednesday weekly closure | Current ticket availability and whether the session suits your ability |
| Cosmopolitan Club Infinity Pool, Jayanagar | 4–6 PM for ladies and kids; eligibility members/guests | Guest sponsorship, current price and children’s access; this is not an adult-women-only slot |
| Swim Scooled, Rashtrotthana Aquatic Centre | Ladies-only coaching and lap-swim batches advertised | Current women’s timetable, programme and availability; general pool hours are not reserved hours |
The list is deliberately specific about access. A members/guests label isn't the same as a public ticket counter, and a coaching batch isn't automatically open for independent laps.
Basavanagudi: the clearest published public-batch route
BAC's public-batches page lists the women's session at 3:30–4:30 PM, with tickets purchased at the counter. Its published adult rate is ₹50 per session; check the current charge and capacity before travelling.
The hour includes entry, showering, swimming, dressing and leaving. Don't plan for a full 60 minutes in the water. The operator requires a swimming costume and cap and lists Wednesday as its weekly holiday.
BAC is on Pampamahakavi Road in Sankarapuram, Basavanagudi. If you want to learn rather than swim independently, ask for the coaching programme and quote that need when enquiring.
The same page has a separate “Learn To Swim & Lap To Swim” section with women’s times. Don't assume the public-ticket price buys those programmes or that every entry in that section reserves the whole pool for women. Ask which programme, lane and instructor your booking covers.
Bringing a child to BAC?
The public-batch page says children below 10 must be accompanied by parents or guardians. That general requirement doesn't establish the ages or genders admitted to the women's session.
Ask before arriving with a child, including whether the accompanying adult needs a separate ticket and whether the session is suitable for the child’s ability. A child rate elsewhere on the tariff isn't permission to enter every batch.
Cosmopolitan Club: women and children, with club eligibility
The Infinity Pool page publishes 4–6 PM for ladies and kids, followed by an all-swimmer evening period. It states eligibility as members/guests.
That's a useful lead if you already have a club connection. It doesn't establish an unrestricted day pass, a particular guest charge or access without a member. Ask how guests are admitted and whether advance approval or accompaniment is required.
The children’s inclusion matters if you're looking for an adults-only swim. Ask how the pool is divided during the session and whether lessons, children's activities and independent swimmers share the water.
We haven't established a current fee from this page. Get the full charge for your category and ask whether instruction is included before comparing it with BAC's public ticket.
Rashtrotthana: choose the women’s programme, then the time
Swim Scooled's Rashtrotthana page advertises ladies-only options for coaching and lap swimming. The centre is in Kundalahalli, 6th Main, E Block, AECS Layout.
The page prints general pool hours and a Monday holiday, but those opening windows aren't a women-only timetable. Ask the team for the current ladies-batch schedule and specify whether you need beginner instruction, stroke coaching or independent swimming.
There's also a link labelled “Summer 2026 Schedule”. A summer schedule is not enough to establish an October booking. Request the current programme rather than choosing from an old image circulating in a group chat.
If you're buying a course, ask how many taught sessions you get, when the package expires, what happens after missed classes and whether make-up sessions stay women-only. Those details determine whether the package fits your week.
Which option fits your routine?
Start with the part of Bengaluru you can reach repeatedly. A cross-city journey for a single reserved hour can turn a reasonable package into one you barely use.
| You need | Start by asking |
|---|---|
| A one-off public swim | BAC about the current women's public batch and tickets |
| A club session for women and children | Infinity Pool about member/guest admission |
| A women’s beginner course near Kundalahalli | Scooled about the current taught batch |
| Independent lengths | Whether a lane or public slot is available without joining lessons |
| A weekend women-only swim | Whether the exact reserved batch runs on weekends, not just whether the pool opens |
A cheap session doesn't help if you're expected to attend at a time you can't keep. Ask about the next two weeks of actual sessions before committing to months of access.
What “women-only” doesn't tell you
Check who can swim, who can be poolside and who teaches. They are three separate arrangements.
If a female instructor matters to you, request her availability. If you don't want children in the session, establish that explicitly. Ask about changing rooms, spectators, photography and any lanes used by other groups.
Indoor and temperature-controlled descriptions answer different questions. Neither guarantees a women-only session, and we haven't independently inspected water quality, staff qualifications or privacy at these venues.
For a beginner, the priority is an appropriate booked lesson. Don't treat a public-swim ticket as a substitute for instruction, or assume a lifeguard will provide a lesson.

Before paying, get these answers together
- Session: the exact date, start time and actual time in the water.
- Admission: public ticket, member, guest or programme enrolment.
- Teaching: coached beginner class or independent swimming.
- Total: entry, membership, coaching, equipment and applicable taxes.
- Changes: weekly closure, maintenance, cancellations and missed-class rules.

Hi, I'm looking for a women-only [beginner class/lap swim] at [centre]. What is the current timetable? I'm a [member/non-member]. Please confirm the admission route, children and poolside access, instructor arrangement, total price and how to reserve a place on [date].
Compare the replies, not just the advertised monthly number. Keep the programme and reserved session in the booking confirmation so you're not relying on a general opening-hours listing.
For the same checks elsewhere, see Delhi, Mumbai and Hyderabad. Browse the pool directory for additional leads.
If heating matters too, compare Bengaluru’s heated pools and non-member access. A women’s batch and a heated visitor session need separate confirmation.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a women's public swimming batch at Basavanagudi Aquatic Centre?
Yes, BAC publishes 3:30–4:30 PM for women in its public-batch timetable. Confirm current operation, tickets and capacity before travelling; the hour includes entry and changing time.
Does the BAC public ticket include a swimming lesson?
The public-batch ticket does not establish enrolment in coaching. Ask for the relevant taught programme, its price and availability if you're learning.
Is Cosmopolitan Club's evening session only for adult women?
No. The published 4–6 PM session includes ladies and kids. Ask about age rules, shared space and member/guest eligibility.
Can I walk into Infinity Pool without a member?
The page states members/guests but doesn't establish unrestricted visitor entry. Confirm sponsorship, approval, accompaniment and the fee directly with the club.
Does Scooled publish a women’s programme at Rashtrotthana?
Yes, it advertises ladies-only coaching and lap-swim batches. Ask for the current reserved timetable and programme; general opening hours and a summer schedule don't confirm your chosen date.
Are female staff guaranteed at these sessions?
That hasn't been established by the sources checked. Ask separately about the instructor, lifeguard, changing arrangements and poolside access.
