A club can have a heated pool and welcome guests without selling a ticket to anyone who walks through the gate.

Willingdon Sports Club is the clearest example in the Mumbai sources we checked: it says its pool is heated during winter and is for members and their guests. That gives a non-member a possible guest route. It doesn't establish a public day pass.

The Acres Club in Chembur also advertises a heated pool, but its checked homepage centres on club membership. A casual visitor swim wasn't established there.

Checked 31 October 2026. These are published access distinctions, not confirmed reservations. No call, booking, payment or water-temperature check was made.

We did not establish an unrestricted, independently bookable heated-pool day pass from these sources. That isn't a claim that none exists anywhere in Mumbai. It's the limit of the published evidence supporting this guide.

Willingdon: guest access needs a host conversation

The club's swimming page describes use by members and their guests, with heating during winter months. It does not give a specific heating-season calendar or a current guest-swim tariff in the checked information.

The published contact is +91 22 35148600, with the club in Arya Nagar, Tulsiwadi. This is Willingdon Sports Club, not another similarly named gymkhana.

If a member invites you, ask them to confirm the guest process with the club: whether swimming is included, who must accompany you, the permitted session and the total charge. Don't assume an invitation for lunch includes a swim.

Winter heating is also a seasonal description. Confirm that it will be operating on your visit date rather than assuming it runs throughout the year.

Chembur: Acres confirms a facility, not your admission

The Acres Club's website explicitly lists a heated swimming pool. Its homepage invites membership enquiries and provides a contact route through its navigation.

The checked page didn't establish an independent public swim price or a one-day pool offer. Ask whether a non-member can visit at all, through what arrangement, and whether the swimming pool is included.

If the answer involves coaching, clarify whether enrolment buys lessons only or also permits independent practice. If it involves a member's invitation or a hotel arrangement, ask for that package's own rules. Don't borrow an admission assumption from a different facility on the same campus.

There are two separate promises in “heated pool day pass”: heated swimming water, and permission to swim without being a resident or long-term member.

A page describing a day package may establish the second and say nothing about heating. A hotel amenities page may establish temperature control and say nothing about non-residents. Neither half completes the answer on its own.

Look for the exact property name, not just the hotel brand. Ask whether the package includes the main swimming pool, rather than only a spa, steam room or Jacuzzi. Warm water in a small spa facility isn't evidence that the lap pool is heated.

We haven't filled the table with hotel names whose heating and visitor terms couldn't both be established. A shorter shortlist is more useful than arriving with a paid package that doesn't include the swim you wanted.

Before you agree to a guest visit

Ask for the actual swimming window, not the club's general opening hours. Check whether lessons or events affect the space, whether children need separate permission and whether an accompanying non-swimmer pays.

Then get the final amount, including any guest-entry charge and swimming charge. They may be separate categories; don't add or substitute prices without the venue explaining what applies to you.

You can send:

I'm a non-member hoping to swim on [date/time]. Do I need a member to host me? Does the arrangement include the swimming pool, will its winter heating be operating, and what is the complete guest charge? Please confirm accompaniment, booking and swimwear requirements.

If you're visiting through a reciprocal club, identify it in the first message. Reciprocal membership rules are a separate route, not evidence that the same fee is available to the general public.

Frequently asked questions

Can non-members use Willingdon's heated pool?

Its swimming page mentions members and their guests. The guest arrangement needs confirmation with the host and club; it is not an advertised unrestricted public day pass.

Is Willingdon's pool heated all year?

The club describes heating during winter months. Confirm operation for your intended date; the source doesn't establish continuous year-round heating.

Does The Acres Club sell a one-day public swim ticket?

That wasn't established from the checked homepage. It advertises a heated pool and club membership; ask for the current visitor policy separately.

Does a spa booking include hotel swimming access?

Only if the package explicitly includes it. Ask for the swimming-pool entitlement, visitor hours and heating details rather than assuming spa admission covers them.
